Term 2, Science Projects

Kia ora koutou, Week 12 and our class is gearing up for our school science fair display tomorrow. Waihirere have had some fantastic learning experiences over the past few weeks, discovering and exploring Space as part of our science kaupapa. We have taken a journey that has led us from Earth to the sun and back and along the way we have stopped off at planets such as Saturn and then taken a detour to the moon and beyond. Many experiments have opened up a world of new learning, new understanding and excitement about the space around us. As scientists we have experienced success and failures trying to replicate or prove our hypothesis and we are all left feeling a little bit knowledgeable about how things work and very curious about the world around us. To celebrate our learning, I have posted up some of the project work that Waihirere has undertaken. Nga mihinui Koka Karla

Gabriel's reading reflection week 4

Kia ora koutou,

Over the coming weeks I will be sharing and celebrating the work completed by different students over the past few weeks.   Gabriel has been sharing some great learning experiences and I hope you take some time to look at his interesting blogs. During our science challenge a couple of weeks ago, Gabriel posted up some science experiments which were fun to watch.

Today we are looking at one of Gabriels reading reflections.  Gabriel loves to read and I'm very happy to see that he is reading a variety of stories including online books.  There are some amazing stories online that you can read.  Have a look and enjoy reading!  Kia kaha Gabriel!
